India’s animals face a silent crisis every day—marked by cruelty, neglect, weak enforcement of laws, and systemic failure. Millions of voiceless beings suffer across cities, villages, forests, and coastlines, with little protection and delayed justice.Rakshak (Guardians of Animals) was founded to confront this reality head-on.Led by animal protection activist Vijay Rangare and a team of experienced frontline responders, Rakshak is building India’s first cohesive, professional, and rapid-response national network for animal protection. Our work spans emergency rescue, legal intervention, community action, and long-term prevention.We believe real change comes from trained local teams, strong legal awareness, and empowered communities. Rakshak focuses on creating leadership at the ground level—people who are prepared to act, intervene, and stand firm against cruelty without fear.From street animals and cattle to wildlife and natural habitats, Rakshak exists to protect those who cannot speak for themselves and to ensure accountability where systems fail.Rakshak is not just an organization—it is a movement for justice, protection, and lasting change.
